Take your gardening to the next level by growing produce from seed!

Broccoli, kale, lettuce, snowpea, broad beans, silvebeet, leek and turnips! These are some of the vegetables that can be grown in winter in Canberra. Many of these seeds need to be sown in late summer to become established before winter.

Join the Canberra Seed Savers Network for an introductory, hands-on workshop where you’ll leave feeling more confident about growing all veggies, and especially winter veggies, from seed.

·       When to grow different veggies and herbs in the Canberra region;

·       Selecting the right seeds for your garden

·       Preparing a seed raising mix

·       Sowing different types of seeds correctly

·       How to nurture, protect and care for young seedlings

·       How to plan to save your own seeds.

Refund Policy: Please kindly note that tickets are non-refundable. Tickets can be transferred to other workshops if notification is given at least 21 days prior to the workshop. Tickets are non-transferable after this time. You are welcome to pass your ticket on to another person.
