Volunteering at the Canberra Environment Centre

Volunteers are an important part of the Canberra Environment Centre community, and we would love to welcome you to become part of the volunteer team. We have many different areas that volunteers can get involved with - please see below for current opportunities.

Recyclery volunteering

We always have lots to do, and often not enough hands to do it all, so if you love bikes and would like to help out, we are always looking for volunteers, skilled or not. It's a great pathway to learning more about how bikes work and how to fix them, meet people and contribute to the Canberra cycling community.

monthly Scrap metal collection volunteer

We are looking for a volunteer to do a monthly scrap metal collection and pick up our old bicycle parts from the ReCyclery, and drop them off at the Mitchell Resource Management Centre. If you have your own ute or trailer, and this sounds like the job for you, please email us at recyclery@canberraenvironment.org, and we can arrange a time for collection.
