Saving Seed from Summer Veggies

  • Canberra Environment Centre Crn Lennox Crossing & Lawson Crescent Acton, ACT, 2601 (map)

Join the Canberra Seed Savers to learn about saving seeds from your summer crop.

It’s the end of summer, and you’re working your way through a bumper crop of the most delicious tomatoes. Of course, you want to save the seed so that you can grow the same variety next year and share the rest… but how do you do that exactly?

Tomatoes and eggplant can be the stars of the summer veggie harvest, but saving seeds from these vegetables isn’t always straightforward. And cucumbers and zuchs are a bit simpler, but it’s important to know the right time to harvest them for good seed. Join the Canberra Seed Savers Cooperative for an introductory workshop where you’ll learn all the tips and tricks you need to become a seed saver of summer veg.

This session is hands-on and will help you learn the skills you need to turn this year’s harvest into many more!

Tickets are $15(+ booking fee).
