Join us in this online workshop to learn practical techniques for planting seeds, pricking out and transplanting seedlings, as well as how to protect seedlings while they grow
Take your seedlings to the next level! This workshop will go a step further than the Growing Veggies from Seed Workshop which was held in July, suitable for both those who attended the July workshop, and to those who are new to gardening, or would like to extend their gardening knowledge further.
Raising vegetables and herbs from seed is fun and affordable, and there tends to be a bigger range of varieties and cultivars available as seed, including heirloom and locally saved seeds.
Join the Canberra Seed Savers for an introductory workshop where you’ll leave feeling more confident about growing from seed and planting and protecting seedlings.
Learn about:
- Growing from seed - why, how, what and when
- Pricking out and potting up seedlings
- Transplanting your seedlings into the garden
- How to nurture and protect young seedlings from pests and predators
The workshop will include a mini summer seedling tour, and a Q&A at the end of the session.
Tickets are $10 + booking fee.
