Nature Meditation

An introduction to meditation to help calm the mind and connect you with nature.

Join us for this workshop, led by Julie Atkinson, where we will be focusing on fostering calm in our lives and connecting with the nature in our suburbs.

Research shows that meditating in nature and/or visualisation may help:

  • Lift spirits and relieve anxiety

  • Give us greater clarity and focus

  • Enhance wellbeing

  • Foster creativity

The session will include:

  • Nature walking (in your garden, a park or reserve, or inside your house/apartment). There will also be an option to remain seated or lying down, and practice visualisation

  • Flower meditation: you may choose to have an actual flower, a picture of a flower, or you can simply visualise a flower during this meditation

  • Guided relaxation: forest visualisation
