  • Canberra Environment Centre Cnr Lennox Crossing and Lawson Crescent Acton, ACT (map)

Raising vegetables and herbs from seed is fun and affordable, but getting started can sometimes be tricky.

Join the Canberra Seed Savers Network for an introductory, hands-on workshop where you’ll leave feeling more confident about growing veggies, herbs and other plants from seed at home. Learn about:

  • When to grow different veggies and herbs in the Canberra region;

  • Selecting the right seeds for your garden

  • Preparing a seed raising mix

  • Sowing different types of seeds correctly

  • How to nurture, protect and care for young seedlings.

Please kindly note that tickets cannot be transferred to other workshops. You are welcome to pass your ticket on to another person.

Please observe good hygiene and social distancing during this workshop and do not attend if you have been feeling unwell. If you are sick and need to cancel, please contact us for a refund.

Please note that in the event of community transmission of COVID-19 in the ACT region the Canberra Environment Centre reserves the right to either adapt or cancel the event and refund all ticketholders at our discretion.
