Learn how to save seeds from your summer veggie garden.
Saving seeds allows more diverse, interesting and resilient varieties of food to be grown. It means growing varieties that are adapted to Canberra, and it means saving time and resources when you don't have to buy seeds or seedlings every year. Seed saving is easy, fascinating and fun!
In this workshop Canberra Seed Savers will show you how to save and store seed from vegetables, fruit and herbs so you have a wide and resilient seed collection for years to come.
You will also hear tips for growing the best plants for seed in the Canberra region and learn how to be part of the Canberra Seed Savers Network. There will be plenty of opportunities for questions too.
