Grow Your Own Food In Canberra

ryan workshop.JPG

What sort of food should I focus on growing myself, and how can I do that sustainably?

Growing your own food can be extremely rewarding and there are many ways you can engage in producing food in your backyard or small farm. This workshop will survey various things you can grow to eat including veggies, fruit, nuts, honey, meat, dairy and eggs and consider what options you have for home production or sourcing locally. Local food enthusiast Ryan Lungu will focus on how you can replace your most commonly consumed foods with local or homegrown options, and situate yourself within sustainable food systems and ecosystems.

This is an in-person workshop to be held at The Canberra Environment Centre, Cnr Lennox Crossing and Lawson Crescent, Acton. Workshop size will be limited to 15 people to comply with COVID-19 restrictions. As always, we ask you to practice good hygiene while visiting the centre, and to stay home if you are sick or have been in contact with someone who is sick.
