Growing Garlic at Home

  • Canberra Environment Centre Cnr Lennox Crossing and Lawson Crescent Acton, 2601 (map)

Have you ever dreamed of growing your own supply of delicious garlic at home?

Join us for an evening of all things growing garlic. Garlic is one of the easiest high-value crops to grow, and it loves Canberra’s cold winters! Learn about preparing soil and beds, different garlic varieties, planting, mulching, spacing, irrigation, harvesting and drying. You will also learn about incorporating garlic as part of a broader system for increased biodiversity in your backyard, common pests and problems, and some ways to eat and use garlic in the garden and kitchen.

$30 + bf
