Create a Pollinator Friendly Garden

Create a garden to attract & feed pollinators

This FREE ONLINE WORKSHOP is co-hosted by ACT for Bees and Canberra Environment Centre. Join them for a buzzing workshop on bees, butterflies and more!

You will learn about the many different types of bees that live in Australia, and the types of flowers and gardens that they prefer.

While European bees are kept for their delicious honey, Canberra also boasts plenty of native bees that do important work as pollinators. Learn about both native bees and honey bees and how to create welcoming habitat for them in your backyard.

In this interactive workshop you’ll be inspired to start integrating bee friendly plants and features into your own garden or balcony.

Let’s protect and grow our way into a resilient future for our pollinators.

About the Facilitators

ACT for Bees & Other Pollinators are about more than bees: they’re also focused on flowers and plants that help the pollinators, such as bees, butterflies, birds and other animals, to thrive in the shared environment.

Canberra Environment Centre is a non-government, not for profit environmental education centre that empowers people to create a sustainable future for the Canberra community by supporting lifelong behavioural change. Fiona Veikkanen is the executive director and is passionate about sharing easy to follow tips and tricks to get your garden thriving - the pollinators will love it too!
