Making Terrariums

  • Canberra Environment Centre Lawson Crescent Acton, ACT, 2601 (map)

Join us for a terrarium workshop where you will get to create your own miniature garden.

In this workshop, we will learn about the history of terrariums - terra meaning "earth" or "land", and arium meaning "a place" or "contained within".

Kat McGilp will teach you about the fundamentals of creating a terrarium and what is required to maintain these mini-ecosystems. Each participant will get to make their own unique terrarium to take home. You can choose a tropical mossy haven or a colourful succulent arrangement.

Terrariums are a great way to bring a bit of nature into your house or workplace as decoration or as a lovely gift for someone.

Tickets are $45 + booking fee.
