One of the most common problems that bicycle owners come across is a punctured inner tube. In this workshop, we will be working through the steps to take if you get a puncture.
Fixing a puncture requires knowing how to remove and install a wheel, how to remove and install a tyre, and how to patch a punctured inner tube.
If you have access to your bicycle, we recommend following along with the workshop to practice the process of removing and installing a wheel and tyre on your bicycle.
If you don't have access to a bicycle, you are still welcome to attend the workshop.
Some steps will require certain tools and materials. Please have the following items on hand if you have them, however you will still be able to about fixing a puncture without these:
- Tyre levers
- Puncture repair kit
- Bicycle pump
- Adjustable spanner or a 15mm spanner, unless your wheels are attached with quick release skewers
- Container or bucket half filled with water
