Take a tour of this productive and sustainable garden to learn more about growing urban food.
Fiona Buining and Michael Wilson from Ainslie Urban Farm have been growing an astounding amount of food on their suburban block for many years. Within this small area, they grow vegetables, fruit and berries, as well as keeping chickens, bees and rabbits. This tour is a chance to see the techniques and systems that they use to produce fruit and vegetables in Canberra’s soil and climate. Some of the methods you’ll observe in action include garden planning, soil improvement, bed preparation and composting.
Bookings are essential for this tour, and numbers are strictly limited. The address will be sent out to ticketholders prior to the tour. Please note that dogs are not permitted on the property, and we ask that all pets are left at home.
There will be two tours held on the 19th at March. The first from 9.30-11am and the second from 11.30am-1pm. Please ensure you book into the time that suits you.
Tickets are $35 + booking fee.
-Please kindly note that tickets cannot be refunded or transferred to other workshops. You are welcome to pass your ticket on to another person. For further information about our refund and cancellation policy for workshops, please visit our website.
