Keeping chickens in the backyard provides you with fresh eggs as well as a way to deal with food scraps and backyard pests. Chooks also make great pets with real and distinct personalities.

Join us for a short online introduction to backyard chook keeping with local chicken owner and permaculture teacher, Martyn Noakes. Learn how to raise, feed, handle and shelter these incredibly useful birds in a backyard setting.

This is an online course conducted over the videoconferencing platform Zoom. Register via Eventbrite to receive the meeting link. Entry to this workshop is by donation to help us cover our costs. We suggest $10 per person, but we want everyone to have access to these workshops, so feel free to pay whatever amount you can.

This workshop is part of Sustainability at Home, our series of virtual events and online resources to inspire and inform anyone and everyone about living sustainably at home.

Refund Policy: Please kindly note that tickets are non-refundable. Tickets can be transferred to other workshops if notification is given at least 21 days prior to the workshop. Tickets are non-transferrable after this time.
