Urban Foraging Walk

  • Blueberry and Eyre St Kingston, ACT 2604 (map)

Susan Hutchinson is an avid forager and is keen to teach us how she does it.

In this walk Susan will show us how to identify and collect wild fennel, rosehip, hawthorn, wild brassicas, purslane, and baby apples. This workshop offers a great opportunity to introduce more diversity and native species into your diet.

Susan will also teach us how to use the various plants in both recipes and teas. Handouts with recipes provided.

Subject to what’s in season, this workshop will be held near Jerrabomberra wetlands. We will meet at the corner of Blueberry and Eyre St, Kingston. If there are any changes to the workshop location, we will let you know via email. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen, water and something to eat as there are limited facilities nearby.
