Sneak Peek at The Recyclery’s New Community Bike Repair Shed!

Canberra Environment Centre is excited to invite the community to a sneak peek of our brand-new Community Bike Repair Shed on Saturday, 1 March 2025, from 10am to 12pm at Gungaderra Homestead, Harrison. (off Mapleton Ave/Otway St, Harrison) The shed fitout is not quite finished- so we’re fundraising to complete it!

For the past few months, we’ve been crowdfunding to build this dedicated space for bicycle repairs, recycling and community workshops. Thanks to generous contributions from the community and our sponsors, we’re almost there! This event is a chance to celebrate our progress and help us reach the finish line.

Come along for our second-hand bike sale, featuring affordable, refurbished bikes, components, and accessories—plus exclusive donated gear from BMX and MTB legend Caroline Buchanan. Our knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to assist with selections and bike repair advice.

Proceeds from the sale will go towards final fit-out costs, and essential tools, helping us create a fully equipped, sustainable bike repair hub for Canberra. Our Grand Opening event is planned for a couple of months time- 3 May 2025 - we look forward to welcoming you then.
